Property Funds
Property often forms a part of balanced portfolios for experienced investors. In particular it suits those with a long-term investment horizon because of its steady rental income stream and potential for solid growth. In recent times property has experienced exceptionally large falls as a result of the global credit crunch and the economic downturn that followed. However generally over the longer term property funds have delivered healthy real ( i.e. after inflation) returns and they should be a key asset class in any personal or pension investment portfolio.
