About Us
Genesis Financial was set up in July 2009 by Peter O’Reilly to provide a first class personal financial planning service. This covers a variety of areas with the main focus on mortgages, property finance, investment and retirement planning.
In terms of the company’s integrity and independence Genesis Financial is regulated by Central Bank of Ireland as a Multi Agency Intermediary and as a Mortgage Intermediary.
Genesis Financial are also members of The Professional Insurance Brokers Association (PIBA).
Our Team
Peter O’Reilly, Managing Director
Peter specialises in investment and retirement planning. He has over 24 years experience having worked with NCB Stockbrokers as a Senior Portfolio Manager from 1999 to 2003. Prior to that, he spent over 4 years with Standard Life Investments as Investment Sales Manager for Ireland. He has a BA (Mod) in History from Trinity and a Masters Degree in Corporate Planning from UCD. In addition he is a Qualified Financial Adviser (QFA) and he has successfully completed the Registered Representative Exams of The Irish Stock Exchange.
Eleanor Murphy, Senior Life and Pension Consultant
Eleanor has over 17 years experience in the financial services industry. Her career started in a brokerage dealing with the administration of life, pensions and mortgages. In 2003 the brokerage was taken over by KBC Bank and Eleanor worked in a similar role for KBC Bank until 2006. Eleanor returned to the intermediary sector in 2007 as a Life & Pensions Administrator in 2007 and moved to Genesis Financial in July 2009 to focus on pensions. Eleanor is a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA).
Caitriona Farrell, Senior Life and Pension Consultant
Caitriona started her career in the financial service sector with Bank of Ireland as a Senior Bank Official and during a period of over 10 years has worked in all areas of branch banking. She entered the intermediary sector in 2004 and moved to Genesis Financial in July 2009. Caitriona is a highly experienced life and pensions consultant and is a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA).
Patricia Murray, Market Research Specialist
Patricia joined Aer Lingus in 1987 as Cabin Crew and worked there for 14 years. Whilst working there she did an honours degree in Social Science from UCD which she followed up with a Masters degree. Following Aer Lingus, Patricia did a brief stint working in the Department of Social and Family Affairs. She joined Genesis Financial in late 2009 and her role is focused mainly on online market research for the company.
